It’s important to protect your personal information and avoid unwanted access to your account. Here are some best practices you can follow.

Use a strong password

  • At least 12 characters long (the longer, the better!)
  • Includes uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
  • Don’t use a password you’re already using somewhere else
  • Avoid obvious words like “password123” or your birthday
We recommend using a password manager to generate strong and unique passwords for every account. We like Proton Pass and Bitwarden best (not sponsored, haha).

Enable 2FA

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your account. Even if someone has your password, they’ll still need a verification code. Learn more about setting up 2FA on your account in our dedicated article.

Keep your devices secure

  • Update your browser, apps, and operating system regularly
  • Install antivirus or security software
  • Lock your devices with a PIN, fingerprint, or Face ID
