At this time, you cannot apply for the YourSitee Discord Moderators program.
Server moderators are volunteer members of the community, trusted by YourSitee staff to be reliable, flexible, and competent with multiple levels of permissions within the server.

How to Become a Moderator

There are two ways to become a moderator:
1

Submit your application at the scheduled time

A form will be temporarily available in the #announcements channel on our Discord server. Once completed successfully, you can begin your trial after a short training session. This document includes all public requirements.
2

Get recommended by a staff member

A YourSitee employee or an existing member of the Moderation Team may recommend someone for a non-public recruitment opportunity.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for recruitment and begin the trainee period, you must:
  • Have a Discord account that is at least 6 months old
  • Have been on the server for at least 30 days
  • Have sent at least 50 messages
  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Have good communication skills in English
  • Be able to dedicate time regularly to the server
  • Be motivated to help others
  • Be patient and calm
  • Be confident, yet open to feedback
  • Be familiar with YourSitee services and have a registered account
  • Have no active or recent (120-day) penalties

Helpful Extras

These are not required but can help your application:
  • Experience using moderation bots
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of YourSitee services
  • Participation in other YourSitee Programs (Bug Hunter, Tester Squad, etc.)
  • Other relevant skills useful to the community or server staff

Requirements After Selection

Once selected, moderators must:
  • Enable 2-factor authentication (2FA)
  • Comply with the server rules, Moderator Code, Discord Terms, and YourSitee policies
  • Avoid using Discord status or About Me (server profile is fine) fields to share invites to non-YourSitee links
  • It is recommended (not required) to disable DMs from non-friends
Moderators must follow the Moderator Code of Conduct at all times. They cannot assign moderator roles to others — permissions and roles are non-transferable.
Please note: Meeting the above requirements does not guarantee a moderator position.

Please note that we reserve the right to make changes at any time. Under certain conditions, some moderators or staff may act outside of the set guidelines. In such cases, the server management is not responsible. This article is for informational purposes only.
