We are not actively recruiting new members at this time. However, this does not mean the door is closed forever. If we decide to expand the program, this article will be updated with clear instructions on how to get involved.Since the Tester Squad often works with sensitive and unreleased material, we keep the group small and highly selective to ensure the best quality feedback. If we ever open the program to new members, you’ll be the first to hear about it in this article, so we recommend checking back occasionally if you’re interested. Until then, please know that our community is always welcome to contribute by reporting bugs through the official bug-tracker, and this work is just as valuable to us as internal testing.

What is the Tester Squad?

The Tester Squad is a closed, invite-only program where we collaborate with dedicated volunteers—often those who already hold Bug Hunter badges—on confidential projects. Members get exclusive early access to unreleased features, tools, and services before they’re available to the public. They provide detailed feedback, report potential bugs, and help us refine the YourSitee experience. Some members focus on quality assurance, others share opinions on new or existing features, but all contribute to making YourSitee better.

How to Join

Membership in the Tester Squad is not open to public applications. It is based entirely on invitation. This selective process helps us maintain a close, trusted circle of contributors who can be relied upon to provide constructive, consistent, and responsible feedback. If we’d like to invite you, a member of the YourSitee staff will contact you directly with all the details. Invitations are typically extended to users who already demonstrate strong engagement in the community, have earned recognition through Bug Hunter badges, or have consistently submitted high-quality bug reports via the official bug-tracker. If you’re interested in joining one day, the best path forward is to continue contributing through bug reporting, feedback, and active involvement in the community.

Member Benefits

Alongside early feature access and direct communication with YourSitee staff, all Tester Squad members receive a free Premium subscription for the duration of their membership. From time to time, we may also surprise members with special gifts—yes, even things like a Bubble plush!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can I report bugs if I’m not part of the Tester Squad?
A: All users can report bugs through our official bug-tracker. For details, check out this article.
Q: Does membership require prior experience?
A: Yes. Tester Squad members are experienced in areas like testing, QA, bug hunting, or giving structured feedback. They volunteer their time to help improve YourSitee, so previous relevant experience is expected.
Q: Do Tester Squad members have to sign an NDA? And if so, why?
A: Sometimes. Since members test unreleased features that may involve sensitive data, a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) may be required. If invited, you’ll have the chance to review the agreement before deciding whether to sign.
Q: Is membership permanent? Do I get a special badge?
A: Membership is voluntary and indefinite, but not permanent. We encourage members to maintain balance between testing activities and personal life. There’s no strict activity requirement, but long-term inactivity may result in membership being revoked. Currently, no special badge is awarded for Tester Squad membership.
Q: Do I need to be a Tester Squad member to earn the Bug Hunter badge?
A: No. Anyone can earn the Bug Hunter badge by reporting enough valid bugs through the official bug-tracker. Learn more in this article.
